The human body is composed of 25 percent solid matter and 75 percent water. Brain tissue is said to consist of 85 percent water! As we age, our thirst sensation gradually fails, and our body becomes chronically and increasingly dehydrated, from an early adult age. "Dry mouth" is the last outward sign of extreme dehydration.

The buzz around town has definitely begun, and interest in Bamboo Body + Soul is picking up quickly. We have added many new classes and Katy Katzenberger at the Half Moon Bay Patch recently wrote a nice article about us.
In this article, she pointed out many of the features of our new facility, including:
"Bamboo Body + Soul features a massage room and Wellness Classroom, a quiet area, complete with a Buddha fountain, that will be available for individual or group use. The addition, which also includes a restroom and ample parking behind the building, will expand Bamboo Hair + Body’s existing therapeutic services to include a separate place for massage, and a designated room for retreats, meditation, exercise, or educational classes.
Bamboo Body + Soul will concentrate on offering massage, featuring four contracted coastside therapists, in addition to the Wellness Classroom. Just a few steps from Bamboo’s day spa services and salon, the Wellness Classroom is also within walking distance of local shopping and restaurants. The beach, a popular destination for out-of-towners as well as locals, is also a nearby attraction."

I believe we are a patchwork of cultures and personalities, oftentimes struggling to understand each other and coexist.
From that point of view, many of us believe we can make a difference.

Fast-forward ...a few years later, I envisioned a working environment which was soothing to the spirit and nurturing for all who entered. This intention was not only for the guest; it was also for the persons who worked within. The wisdom of this idea was simply in "seeing" a need for a place of peace in this wild, crazy, extraordinary time we live in.
