As an adolescent I was plagued with acne prone skin. During my journey to find a “miracle cure” I realized how having healthy skin had so much more to do with self-esteem rather than simply appearance. I found that being under the care of an esthetician taught me good habits for home care and gave me hope to one day be able to look people in the face with confidence. When my skin was on the road to recovery I found I wanted to help others the way I had been helped.
After much research I enrolled in one of the top schools in the nation and In 2004 I graduated from The San Francisco Institute of Esthetics. I have been a practicing State Board Certified Esthetician ever since and truly love every minute. I am always surprised at how happy it makes me when I see my clients touching their skin and remarking on the improvements. I can see their spirits lift and I am reminded of how grateful I was to finally have cleared up my own skin.
Since graduating I have had the opportunity of attending many post-graduate training classes and have grown to love the science of skincare as well as the art of touch. I currently work part-time for a group of plastic surgeons in San Mateo and am now becoming more familiar with the medical side of esthetics. I am excited to see what the future holds for this industry.
